This review is a little overdue, but I had to share what an incredible experience we had!
I originally discovered this studio through an online ad featuring friends doing a snowboarding photoshoot together. While they're well known for their beautiful wedding photography, I reached out to ask about a family session, and the owner responded immediately. She scheduled a video call, listened to exactly what I wanted, and clearly explained all the options and pricing.
This photoshoot was a birthday gift to myself and a way to capture memories of our adventures together as mom and son . We hadn't had professional photos taken since he was two years old, and now he's a cool teenager who loves snowboarding. Since we spent so much time on the slopes together, I wanted to preserve that part of our story.
We picked kimonos, and we met at Nekoma Mountain. From the moment we arrived, everything was thoughtfully planned. There was a dedicated space for hair, makeup, and dressing, and the entire team was professional, welcoming, and so much fun to be around.
As for the shoot itself—imagine snowboarding in a kimono in Japan! How many people get to say they've done that? It was such a unique and unforgettable experience. The only challenge was me... and my very average snowboarding skills. 😅 Despite my numerous attempts to become one with the snow, the photographers were endlessly patient, encouraging, and kind, making me feel comfortable the entire time.
The photos turned out beautifully, but honestly, the experience itself was just as valuable as the final images. My son and I laughed, made memories, and had an amazing day together.
If you're looking for more than traditional portraits and want something truly unique, I can't recommend this studio enough. Whether it's a wedding, family session, or an adventure shoot, they create an experience you'll remember long after the photos are delivered.
Thank you for helping us capture such a special moment in our lives. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
